How to figure out laptop cpu?

***UPDATE: APPARENTLY THE CPU IS AN ENGINEERING SAMPLE***
Sooo . . . what does it mean? Does it make it a novelty item? Per this thread it makes it sound like technically speaking the cpu is the property of intel and of course I cannot sell this item at the FS/T forums (of AT, at least).

Should I contact Dell about this and potentially trade it in? Should I be concerned about its reliability?

Kind of an oddball question:

- I just a got a new (refurbished) Dell Studio 14 and traded in my other laptop (never again, HP!)
- The system specs on the system that I've ordered said core i3-330 w/ 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530

Once the system arrived, it;
a.) Has the core i5 sticker on the system
b.) Is labeled Intel 000 Processor in the system screen w/ 512MD ATI 540v (which is pretty much just a rebranded 4350 I figure)

- It runs just fine and of course a sticker is just a sticker, but how do I find out which cpu this laptop is really carrying? I've installed cpu-z and I think I have it figured out, but I want to be sure . . ..

i was going to suggest cpuz
right click my computer and check the properties, my model and speed are shown properly, even with an overclock
or check the bios, should have it listed somewhere

Belarc Advisor (freeware) can do this also, plus many other things.

Actually, this is what I'm getting when I'm checking under systems in Win7, in the BIOS and CPU-Z:

CPU-Z.jpg

Now according to this there is no core i5 CPU w/ a 2.13Ghz clock rating and an 18x multiplier - it's currently running at 2.4Ghz, so with the multiplier read I'm assuming that it's either the i5-430m or the i5-520m: is there any more clues as to which one of the two cpus it could be?

How can you tell?

Interesting that you got a laptop with such a processor if it is the case. I thought engineering samples aren't to be resold? (did you buy from Dell?)

ES in the specification listed by CPU-Z.
