How to fat32 in a 40gig HD using one partition?

I tried installing xp on the one, but all it allowed was nfts. I'm not complaining, but some floppys are being read in nfts. I don't want to partition or using partition magic.

mmx, Microsoft decided that all partitions over 32GB should be NTFS rather than FAT32, so they made the WinXP install only allow NTFS for partitions of this size.

I don't know what you mean by "some floppys are being read in nfts." Floppy disks get formated with the FAT12 file system, NOT NTFS.
