How to fastforward *asf videos

It seems asf format videos cant be fastforwarded in WMP. Are there any ways around it to fastforward/skip ??

Use asftools to change the file from asf to avi, which should then be searchable

i didnt know that this abbreviation is a bannable offence? why specifically this when people use swear words , euphemisms for masturbation etc etc? I havent been here for the last year so I dont know the history.

It didnt work with Asftools. got an error saying the file uses "WMV1" method of video compression. Therefore coverting result Avi will not have video !! is there another way?

And to clear things up, its a video of a tv show
