How to Exhaust Heat from the PSU?

I got some heat build up underneath my desk from my PSU. The heat rises up to me face and body.

The only solution I can think of is use some sort of hose that attaches to the exhaust fan of the PSU and let the heat expel elsewhere from my desk.

My exhaust fan on the PSU is 80mm and has a grill.

Any solutions? Home Depot solutions out there?

You might want to install a Yate Loon 120mm exhaust fan to top of case. Replace your other fans with 120mm/80mm whereever possible. Yate Loons are very quiet and verrrrrry cheap. I just another shipment from Germany in less than 2 weeks. The 80mm averaged about $5 apiece.

well look.....the heat has to go somewhere. If you try to duct it (like a drier duct) the back pressure will make the PSU even hotter. You might consider a more efficient PSU, one that doesn't run so hot. Look for an efficiency rating of 80%+.....it'll be quieter also.

Look to mod some sort of chimney attachment that redirects the airflow 90 degrees (upwards) and move your desk away from the wall a few inches if you can. Easy to make out of cardboard, or try and find something like the chimney attachment in this kit (top left piece) or this bent one at home depot in the irrigation section.

I think I will look into the duct products at the hardware store...

Placing a fan on top of the tower would not be an option since it will still blow hot air underneath the desk.

I have a way to expel the heat at a 90 degree angle or slightly higher.
