The Y-Wing was an absolute staple of the rebel fleet. Highly modular, capable of delivering any number of types of payloads on target AND it had both blasters and turretted ion cannons. It just wasn't as maneuverable as the dogfighters, but that's not the Y-Wing's role.

my 12 yr old son likes star wars, but he doesnt really announce it much publicly. he also has older girls calling and texting him all the time so i think he has chances at a life
