How to enlist in the Military

I want to enlist in the military, how can I enlist with my deafness being in the way? I've tried to enlist with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy with no luck... I reckon it's my right to serve for my nation regardless of my handicap, hell deafness isn't a handicap to me... Granted I might can't hear well, but I can hear some loud stuffs. Moot point here is that I want to serve for my nation without being rejected. And I want to serve in the combat divison. If many people died fighting and why can't I then? Dont give me the lability BS.

Anybody here knows how I could confront them and get to be enlisted?

I'm feeling like I should write to the White House and hopefully will get a reply.

Edit: Yes it would place me in a danger but in combat zone there's always danger, and the moot point here is that I want to serve in the military with no regard for my hearing loss.

No, because you'll get people killed. If you can't hear how will you take orders and communicate with the soldiers around you?

I don't think you'll be able to. You're not deployable - and to be honest - being deaf is a liability on the battlefield. I admire your willingness to serve though.

I know there is no way for you to be in the Army. What you may be able to do is get a civilian job with the military. Especially here in the US, a very large percentage of those on the major bases/posts are civilians employed by the military.

Sorry to say bud, if you can't hear well then you don't need to be in a combat unit. You could easily get yourself or somebody else killed.

a  for your motivation though.

Honestly I would really really really not want a deaf dude in my combat patrol if I was in the military.

That is a HUGE factor. It isn't BS.

Need a metaphor for better analysis of you joining the armed forces?
Its like given the choice to kill everyone on the planet except your choice of 1 male and 1 female for the sole purpose of procreation afterwards. You'd be foolish to choose anyone that is beyond their reproductive prime and with genetic disorder(s).

It's not a right to serve in the military. It's a privilege. I doubt you'll be able to serve in a combat arms MOS. Even a slight hearing loss will keep you from getting certain jobs.

I have a bent hip and they wouldn't take me right after the Iraq war started. I was really bummed out, but there are other ways to serve your country, like government jobs or contracting.

It's easy to be noble when you know you're not going to be put to the test. ;)

Being enlisted in the Army, I agree. I just dont see you joining any sort of combat arms, no matter who you write.

I dont see why you couldn't do something in support though.

It's not liability that's an issue. It's a matter of not being able to do the job. Every enlistee in the Army has to pull some guard duty, man a listening post, etc. If you can't hear an approaching enemy, you can't do your job, so you're eliminated from doing that job.

You have to be able to operate a radio in order to graduate Basic Training. If you can't complete Basic Training, you can't get assigned to a unit. That's just one example, I'm sure there's more.

I'm sorry that your disability prevents you from serving your country. You are to be commended for your patriotism.

Women aren't allowed in combat roles, but they are accepted...

I am referring to traits that are undesirable for a given situation. Hence, I said it is a metaphor.
