I couldn't find anything that worked on Google, so here goes...
I jumped on the 98-cent Half Life deal on Steam that was running a few weeks ago, and the only major problem I'm having with it screen tearing. There is no option to enable vsync in the game settings, and I don't have the Catalyst Control Center installed to force vsync (I've read that might not work anyway). Previously published console commands like r_displayrefresh and vid_wait don't seem to be valid commands in this version of HL. I was wondering if anyone here had run into a similar problem and had a fix.
I'm running this on Vista x64 and an HD 4850 with Catalyst 8.11 (non-hotfix) drivers.
Sorry to pick the collective pc gaming forum brain on this issue instead of consulting Steam support. I was too lazy to create a support account and also figured I'd get a quicker response here. Thanks.
