well im not sure of this but I have a PCI sound card installed without the drivers cause i lost the cd, so I tried to use the on-board sound, i installed the drivers of the on-board sound of the motherboard K7VZA but still cant get any audio on it, is it because of the installed PCI SOUND card on the PCI slot thats why i cant get the on-board sound running? or is there a conflict betwee the on-board and the sound card?

About the COM PORT 2, why cant i get a detection on my modem on the COM PORT 2? everytime i install the modem driver it says that there is no modem detected on COM PORT 2, I double checked it already and it is properly plug-in, what coukd possibly the reason?

Check the BIOS -- see if the sound is turned on. Generally, can have two sound cards, but I would pull the add-on one.
