How to Enable the LCD Font Smoothing in Mac OS X

Mac OS X ensures that the users view the text in a very clear and the best way possible. Many different kinds of fonts are provided to the user to be chosen. The LCD font smoothing is a famous sub-pixel rendering technology that ensures the font to remain less jagged and pixelated. This will enhance the font clarity to a great extent. You can also disable the LCD smoothing option whenever you prefer. Here is how you can enable the LCD font smoothing in the Mac OS X system.

Step 1
Select the ‘Apple Icon’

The first step is to click on the ‘Apple Icon ‘ that is located at the top left corner of your Mac screen as shown below. On clicking, you will find a list of options.

Select ‘System Preferences’

From the list of system setting options, you need to choose ‘System Preferences’. This will lead to a variety of hardware and software system settings for your Mac system that can be modified based on your preferences.

Select ‘General’ Option

In the 'System Preferences' window, the user can find many options related to the hardware, software of your system. You need to click the ‘General’ settings option as shown below.

Enable the checkbox for LCD font smoothing

In the general settings option, the user needs to click the checkbox for enabling the LCD font smoothing by selecting ‘Use font smoothing when available’ as shown below.
