How to enable task bar on multiple displays?

Hi

I have two monitors in my office, on one of the monitor(Main monitor) I see the task bar normally but for the 2nd monitor there is no task bar.

These two monitors are Samsung SyncMaster B2030 and HP 1740 both have different resolution support and screen sizes.

Is it possible to get a common task bar visible on both of the monitors or different task bars for each of these two monitors(Like two PC's)?

To mention I am using windows 7.

Awaiting for your valuable suggestions...

Windows 7 has never had support for multi-monitor taskbars, but that support has been added in Windows 8. If you want a Windows 7 taskbar on each of your monitors your best bet is a paid third-party app like DisplayFusion Pro, UltraMon, or MultiMon.

FWIW I had a limited experience with one of these third party apps, and it wasn't exactly what I was expecting (don't remember which one). It put the taskbar icons for each app on the display it was currently showing on, and allowed no customizations. It was a freebie, so I wasn't totally shocked, but decided just to go back to the single and enjoy the extra desktop space on the other displays. Finding out which display an icon was located on did not seem any faster than finding one crunched icon in a single location.

Ever since win 7 with dual monitors I moved my taskbar to the right side so it is vertical, that way on the right hand monitor i do not have to move the mouse that far to access the taskbar. Plus with widescreen monitors i can sacrifice part of the side without much issue. I know that is not the answer you are looking for but give it a shot and you may not need the taskbar on both monitors after all.

this sounds like a good idea, put the stuff you need in the center of your area.

Thanks for these amazing apps.

I using multimon freeware

the task bar span'd across is quite annoying once u start using it.

You lose that edge off all the displays u have, and it can add up..

I also think nvidia has a option which allows u to span the taskbar across all displays too if ur using a nvidia gpu.
I dont know if it is still implimented, as i dont use it, but i recall seeing it one time.
