How To Enable Overdrive

I just got an AIW x800xt. I'd like to enable overdrive, but don't see it as an option in CCC. The help says you should see it in the tree view, but I don't see it anywhere.

Is there something else I need to do first? I'm already in the advanced view.

On the Graphics By ATI products supplied by ATI's Add In Board Partners the availability of Overdrive is at the discretion of the partner. Please refer to the website of your graphic card manufacturer for details.

But then again, the pic shows X800 with OverDrive.

And this one says XT or X1000 cards, but the previous pic shows an X800 Pro. It does say no AIW cards support OverDrive though.

I think that you have chosen...poorly.
 
When I was using my BBA X800XL there was no overdrive tab either. It showed up from the start with my X1900GT. However you have the advantage that ATI tool works 1000% better with the X800s. Download ATItool if you feel like OCing. Enjoy your card, it's a nice one. I wouldn't worry that hard about 1 or 2 extra fps in FEAR.

CCC is an available download for all models of Radeon (as long as they're supported by the Catalyst drivers; anything past the 9500).

As far as branding goes, yes, they don't refer to Radeon in the product name of the AIW cards. However they do specify that they are powered by a Radeon GPU. AIW isn't a different architecture or anything, it just has a TV tuner bolted onto it and interfaced with the video in/out chip. As far as the operating system is concerned, those may as well be in different expansion slots.

The reason OverDrive isn't supported on some models is due to a lack of thermal monitoring, and they just don't include that on any of the AIW cards. CCC however is just a driver interface, and AIW uses the same driver and CCC as regular Radeons.
