How to enable "look for sweet w/u's" in SetiQ?

So I'm digging around through the options in SetiQ and I come across this 'look for sweet w/u's' item in the browser/reporting portion of SetiQ. How do I enable this? I appears that it looks for w/u's that require less processing power than others.

Also, to anyone who has this enabled, I'm assuming it d/l's many packets and discards some until it gets ones that it likes. What kind of ratio is there from normal to sweet packets. I'm on a dialup (damn Comcast I curse thee name) and can't afford to d/l 300 packets for every one I get to actually use.

Gracias in advance.

Ok to turn Sweet-spots on,

Login to your SetiQ through the brower interface.
Go to Settings on the left.
Then scroll to the bottom and click on Edit Settings.

Then scroll to about the middle of the page and change that to enable.

Now how that works: :D

I don't think it throws away any Work Units.

What I think it does is if it sees a WU with a good AR it thinks that WU near it also have good AR
and tries downloading a couple more right away to see if they are good too. If they are it tries to
suck down the best it can. If the ones it sucks down are bad. Then it will wait a while and try again
hoping that some other poor sucker has pulled those down and brought you closer to the good ones.

Of course this is just my guess. ;)

You set the password when you go to the settings tab and then select HTTP Server Settings. It is the administration password at the bottom of the window.

You can also set it to look for sweet work units by editing the client.ini file. Just change this line
s@h/SweetWorkUnit=FALSE
to this
s@h/SweetWorkUnit=TRUE
or be lazy and use the interface method.;)

:)Eponymous is correct, if you download a sweet WU it will automatically download another unit in hopes of pulling down another sweet unit. Also if you pull down a VLAR it will wait before downloading another unit. The Time it waits is another variable that you can program.

I'm not sure but most here do not run SetiQueue with this option on. I think the feeling is Yes we are having fun racing but the goal in the end is to help Seti.
:)

Thats the feeling that I have got from other TeAm members;)
