how to enable cool n quiet?

i dloaded the xp driver and dashboard demo. The dashboard shows that my cpu is running the thing well, but I dont get the option in the power options... Someone please tell me how to do this from the ground up...
 
I think you don't get the option to enable/disable power savings.
As long as the bios is enabled and the driver installed, power savings is done automatically.
The dashboard demo should show the power savings dial at close to max when you don't have any heavy duty stuff going on.
 
got the bios to latest version, enabled cool n quiet in the bios... everythings running good now.. thanks guys
 
I recommend using RMclock from Rightmark (free download), it is a very good program that lets you set the max and min CPU multi and voltages used in throttling, and also lets you control the throttling. It works much better than letting windows control the throttling🙂
