run->regedit, works for me. I opened it and changed a bunch of stuff at random and closed it, now I just have to restart my system.
actually, regedit runs, but I haven't tried to change anything. The new system protection may not allow you to save the registry after you save it, but if regedit doesn't save the changes you could try exporting the new registry and then using a boot disk to copy it into place (can we say 'backup'). ...Or wait for some one who knows what he's talking about to answer.
