how to edit powerpoint 2000 file in powerpoint2003?

I have a PPT 2000 file that's basically just a org chart using the standard org chart feature in powerpoint 2000.

I now have a user that wants to open this file and edit it in powerpoint 2003...but it comes up with an error saying it can't find the org chart application :/

How can this be...should powerpoint 2003 be able to open and edit any previous versions?!

if anyone knows how to fix this...let me know.

IIRC, typical "charts" in PPT are OLE excel objects, which means the person needs Excel also. If the author used a 3rd party chart program, they need it.

no, it's just the standard office 2000 pro install

I figured it out by installing Office 2000 pro on top of office 2003 pro

let's hope it doesn't bomb out the rest of office 2003
