How to dress 80's

Parachute Pants, A Mullet, A Jacket with Padded Shoulders, Italian Shoes with no sox..Just dress like Don Johnson from his days in Miami Vice
 
80s preppy:
Izod shirt, collar turned up, tight stonewashed jeans, members only jacket or sweater around neck, Zack Morris phone, hi-tops or deck shoes.
80s hiphop:
vintage adidas jogging suit, white tshirt, adidas shoes with no laces, gold chains, black fedora
 
there are lots of movies to rent to show you the way

sixteen candles (and all the john hughes movies)
valley girl
fast times
ghostbusters (with those stupid t-shirts)
purple rain

News flash for you: People showered in the 80's. Also in the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
 
LOL. Rent Miami Vice, that's a good way to go. Casual suit, rolled up sleeves (even the jacket), no tie, no socks, "boat" shoes. The real thing about the 80s was the hair, ever heard of Flock of Seagulls? A Mohawk would work (though not with that attire), Billy Idol's a good model. Maybe you can go Chains and Leathers, like Judas Priest.

Lol.. I used to press the limits for the 'dress up' days in high school.

I would suggest:

-biker shorts - preferably with a fluourescent color on black
-fluourescent tank top
-slap bracelets - like 10 of them
-4 watches
-walkman on your waist
-Panama Jack sunglasses on your head
-spike your hair up
-nike shoes with long tall socks
-drink Crystal Pepsi

Dress 80's metal:

Torn jeans, long hair, ripped shirt, bandana, boots and jean jacket with band logo and/or tour dates.

Spike belts and wrist bands are optional.
 
The best 80's look is a sports jacket with the sleeves rolled up. Simon from Duran Duran is trying to give it a comeback. Although you'll need to roll them up higher than that to look 80's.

Man, I miss the 80's.
