How to Download Applications from the App Store in OS X

App Store provides the opportunity for the users to download and install their favorite applications to their Mac system. One can find a wide range of applications under various categories like games, sports, news. Both free and paid applications are present. Using your Apple ID and password, you can download the applications. Here is how you can download the applications from the App Store in Mac OS X.

Step 1
Select the ‘App Store’

Firstly, select the ‘App Store’ icon from the application toolbar as shown below. On clicking the App Store option, you can select and download the application you desire to use.

Step 2
Select the ‘Sign In’ Option

Now the user should select the ‘Store’ option from the menu bar as shown below. From the list of the options, you need to choose the ‘Sign In’ option.

Enter the ‘Apple ID’ and ‘Password’

You should then enter your 'Apple ID' and the 'Password'. Once entered, you need to click the ‘Sign In’ option to get access to the App Store.

Select ‘Get’ Option

In the App Store, you need to click the ‘Get’ option located beside the application you desire to get downloaded to your Mac OS X system.

Select ‘Install App’

Now you need to click the ‘Install App’ option to initiate the download and installation of the application in your Mac OS X system.

Information About the Application is Displayed

Now, on the screen, you will find some brief information that includes the highlight features about the application you have chosen. Additionally, you will also find the reviews and sample screenshots.

Select ‘Purchases’

You can select the ‘Purchases’ tab to view the installation of the application you chose to your Mac OS X system. You can also pause the installation process by clicking on the ‘Pause’ button.
