How to do backups of hard drive on CD-RW?

I've used tape backups for the past 8 years but my tape went bad, and I needed a drive with a larger capacity (mine was only 8 gigs). It's hard to get travan tape drives, so I've decided to backup to CD-RW, a Plextor 24x10x40 which I just got last month so I'm a newbie with CD-RW.

I ghosted my hard drive on CD-R. Now I need to know how to do regular backup of files on CD-RW. With tape drives, you backup the whole drive, then set it to backup new/changed files, and you can set it do backup automatically every day at a selected time.

So how is this done on CD-RW? What software should I get or can I use the software that came with the Plextor? Can it be set to automatically backup new/changed files?

I haven't gotten around to this, but I think NTI Backup Now should be something worth trying. I just have my data on a second hard drive, and I've been lazy to install this and set a regiment, but I probably will sometime soon.

I have Partition Magic, but I'm not familiar with DriveImage Pro although it sounds like Norton's Ghost which I also have.

I've already ghosted the hard drive. What I was looking for was a backup program to allow for regularly scheduled backups for changed and/or new files. NTI Backup Deluxe seems to be the answer for me. I've d/l'ed the trial version and plan to set it up later tonight. If it does what the description says, I'm going to order it.

Hey, I'm glad it looks like it's the one for you. Do me a "flavor", if it does exactly what you want, can you yell at me and order me to backup my files with it? :D

Magicthyse, Drive Image wouldn't be the kind of software he needs, because it's only for full images of a whole partition/hard drive. By the way, I have both PartitionMagic and Drive Image, and they're both spectacular. But, NTI Backup Now would be more suited towards what he wants.
