How to dismantle an HP monitor stand?

Hi.

I've got an HP LP2475W which needs transporting in the smallest possible space inside my luggage. The monitor itself has gone into its polystyrene and will be surrounded by clothes.

The stand though is proving a problem being an awkward shape. Anyone know how to separate the foot from the riser?

it probably just pops together, are there not any tabs you can manipulate to release it?

if nothing else, you can likely just unbolt the stand from the back of the panel, assuming it's vesa compatible.
