If it's something other than a motherboard/system device (ie: something that can be disconnected or powered off), you could try to edit the .inf or .cab file that Windows uses to install the device. Do this with the device disconnected or powered off. Then when the device is reconnected/powered on, Windows won't already have a driver for it, and will "ask" you for a driver to use. Then you can choose which driver, or else choose "cancel".
