I'm builidng a windows 98 image for some PCs and am wondering how you get the following message to display if a user goes to windowsupdate.com

"Your organization has decided to provide software updates internally rather than through Windows Update. To download updates for your Windows computer, please see your Network Administrator."

How do you guys do that?

Thanks.

That is set by using Group Policies on NT versions of Windows. I don't know if that particular policy is available on Win9x but you may try using poledit.exe in the Resource Kit. It is also available in the sampler Resource Kit on the Win9x CD-ROM, IIRC.

Someone may know of a registry hack for this as well, but I don't know of one offhand. It's been a long time since I've seen Win9x.
