The dark mode is one of the best new options rolled out by Apple for the latest Mac OS X. It is the first fully functional theme in a long time from the house of Apple and users are in love with it. It turns the entire screen into a darker texture, reducing general brightness, and also transforming folder heads to match the dark background. However, what has been bugging users is the lack of the same transforming effect for the menu bar on top. But there is a way to make this work.
Follow the steps below to learn how.
Step 1
Open ‘System Preferences’
Go to the menu bar at the bottom of your screen and open up the ‘System Preferences’ tray.

Step 2
Open the ‘Desktop’ Options
In the ‘System Preferences’ dialog box select the ‘Desktop & Screen Saver’ option.

Step 3
Select the ‘Right’ Tab
Select the 'Desktop' tab in the desktop and screen saver dialog box that opens.

Step 4
Turn Off ‘Translucent Menu Bar’
At the bottom of the desktop tab you will find an option titled ‘Translucent Menu Bar’. Uncheck the box next to it. This will make sure that the overhead menu on your screen becomes solid black with white text to match the dark theme. This change will also appear in the overhead menu bar for any app or finder window you open.

Disabling the translucent menu bar option is a great way to ensure that all parts of your PC match the dark theme.
