how to disable the LED in LED fans?

I'm told you can cut one of the wires, but which one?

Or, does anyone make adjustable speed fans without LEDS and with an on-fan adjuster, like in the Antec 900 case?

The wires that run along the support arms to the LED's themselves.

But Antec makes Tri-Cool fans (The ones in the 900) without LED's. Just look around. They still have clear frames but no LED's.
