how to disable security warning in the system tray?

Could someone show me how to disable the security warning in the system tray for windows xp? I disable the auto update and it kept warning me about it. It's kind of annoying. Thanks for any help

Why do you have automatic updates disabled?

go to services and find security. right click properties, start up type manual. I hate microsoft installing things for me and yes mine is legal. I update it monthly myself.

yeah all the MS crap is really annoying(firewall, security centre, updates), you should be able to configure it without all the crap during install. at least i only need to put up with it for games, nopw i spend %80 of my time in linux.
