Hello all,

I have some strange issue.
My HTPC ATI 1950PRO is connected to Sceptre X42 HDMI via DVI-HDMI cable.
I have 1 HDMI input media box.

When I switch X42 from watching over DVI input to DTV and then back to DVI I'm getting blank screen with "no input" message in left top coner.
I can't bring DVI back!!!
I tried to unplug HDMI and plug it in back - nothing.
The same time I can connect second 17" LCD via DVI to the second ATI x1950PRO DVI output and I see HTPC screen just fine.

The only way to to bring DVI input of X42 back is to restart HTPC or put it to hibernate and wake it up.

Do you know if I'm missing anything here?
Is it my HTPC x1950PRO issue?
Or is it X42 Media box issue?
It's very annoing to restart HTPC every time ...

Thanks.

I suspect the problem is the X42, not the video card. You might try AVSForum to see if anyone else has tried this combination.

Of course, DVI/HDMI are not really made to be hot-pluggable. If you use a 'switch' that is literally just disconnecting and reconnecting the wires, it may not work properly.
