how to disable acpi on asus a7v?

I dont want it,I dont see a setting in the bios for it
got power management disabled and still WinME installs this crap
not to mention about 40 MS kernal audio type stuff in sound vid game in safe mode

If it is anything like Win98, When you type in setup plug a switch in after it ( \p i ). This keeps it from recognizing an "incompatible Plug and play bios". If it is like 2000, hit F5 after hitting F6. Choose standard pc. I will admit that I have never used ME, so I am just guessing.

Go into the registry, local machine/soft/micros/windows/currentversion
set a new item called acpioption, set it's value to "0". Go into safe mode blow away the enum key, and redetect hardware after a reboot.
