In MSDOS.SYS in the root directory of C:,

Change the line AutoScan=1 to AutoScan=0.

I'm running WinMe now...and I think microsoft get rid of msdos.sys
I couln't find that file on my system

Win95A does not have the AutoScan function. Only after Win95B OSR2 is this present.
