How to determine onboard audio chipset? UPDATE - solved

I just reloaded the kids' old computer (K62/500). Was able to determine the video chipset (Sis 530 - now that's power!), but I can't find the audio chipset. Win98 SE just displays a generic PCI multimedia audio with the happy yellow exclamation point. Are there any utilities that will tell me what the chipset is so I can d/l the appropriate driver?

Actually, same for modem. I can crack the case open again, but would rather not if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance :)

Very wild guess, but maybe you have integrated SoundPro (CMI8330) audio? I have seen some fully integrated SiS530-based mobos with that...

first, you could post all info you can find on the motherboard here on the forum...you'll probably get a faster answer that way.

second, look at all the chips on the mobo...they probably all have some sort of number on them...do some google searches and you might hit on the information you are looking for
