I saw a study on that one time. Apprarently they had been blind their whole life and up until having vision-correction surgery they had never seen colors. Once gaining sight, they had a hard time developing a difference in colors. They could see a difference, but they had trouble distinguishing which colors were red, which colors were green, etc etc. Apparently most of our color association is built during childhood and not something you can just pickup.
