HOW TO DELETE THOSE EXTRA FILES/DIRECTORIES IN WIN2K ???

Hey folks.. i think by now most of you have seen in the program files directory that there are some "non-deletable" directories/files like the frontpage directory.. anyone know how to remove these directories? i even tried booting to dos with a disk and deleting but win2k seems to restore it afterwards...

If windows keeps restoring those directories after you delete them, there's probably a very good reason for their existance. They can't be using that much space, so I would just leave them alone. Unless you have a good reason why you need to delete them that is.

Some of us prefer to have a clean file system, rather than letting Windows and applications create directories and files willy nilly.

As far as I can find, there is no way to permanently remove most of those directories. There really IS no good reason for them to exist, the OS doesn't depend on them except that Microsoft has programmed it to think it does. (Same with IE integration, the OS doesn't NEED to run IE, but MS made it so that all the explorer functions use it and the DLL's are mixed up.)
