how to delete these programs off my computer!!

Hey everyone, i'm kinda new to this forum so forgive me if my question seems noobish. I am having trouble cleaning up my program files because i cannot delete these folders from my computer. I usually get an error message reading how it is being used by another person or program. I know i don't use these programs but i'm not sure how to get rid of them. I've used some after-market software shredders to no avail. Here are a list of the proggies. Thanks

microsoft activeSync
microsoft frontpage
movie maker (microsoft!!!)
MSN Gaming Zone
Net Meeting
Outlook Express
Zero Knowledge
Xerox
VOB

i know that if i go to the taskbar and stop the process they are using that i can probably delete the folder but i'm not sure which process they are using. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Um? Did you try Start menu/Control Panal/Add remove programs? Never try to delete the file/folder it self since the program is in more places then that ,like in the Windows folder, and registry. Anyways try that, Positive it'l work.

Just so you know - you can NEVER delete Xerox.. Windows will remake it.. have a nice day.

yes i noticed that about Xerox and many of the other folders. I would sit there and delete file after file and they would just reappear every few seconds. Very frustrating!!! What does Xerox do if it is so damned necessary to keep in there?!?!

went to the control panel/add-remove programs and was able to delete a few programs and their folders but none of the ones i listed. Some of the things i tried to remove just flat out wouldn't uninstall.
