I mistakenly installed the nortonsystem that causes slow so I have been trying to remove it but it refused due to some protection. I m trying to find a way to unistall it and then reinstall. It won't unstiall by add or remove under win xp pro or norton system 2002 software. I even use the norton system works cd to try unsintall it. It even won't reinstall cuz it says i must unisall norton

I must remove it so i can reinstall the antiv-virus software only.

Pls help find me a way to remove that stubborn software...

Just use System Restore. Pick a point before the software was installed to restore to. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

Thanks.... I finally figured another way and sucessfully got rid of it. Whew.... I gotta be careful what I install 😀

I went through that safe mode thing earlier today, there is a very nasty spybot program called hotbar, it really blows. A friend had it on his ME Laptop, along with a host of other bad stuff. I finally had to boot into safe mode and delete the remnants and folders that would not go away. Now he has ad-aware and knows how to use it.🙂
