How to delete pics off memory card

I have a SD memory card that I access via usb adaptor. When I right click on the pics, there is no option to delete them, so I keep filling up the memory and can't empty it.

Anyone have any idea how to delete the pics?

It's weird because I have had this usb SD card adaptor for years and never had any issue deleting pics before.

Yes the memory card lock is off.

Thanks

Like corkyg I use Windows Explorer. I rarely actually use the delete command since I mostly back up the files to two different HD's and will use the move command which will move the file and then delete it from the source (the source being the memory card).

If you're having issues deleting files then the card might be starting to get flakey. Perhaps the lock switch is broken on the card itself.

Windows Explorer, commonly called Explorer, is the file manager for Windows. It is a built in program. Most default installations place it on the desktop. Do not confuse it with Internet Explorer.

In most versions of Windows you can find it in All Programs, Accessories. It is used commonly to create folders, rename them, rename files, move files and folder, etc. Basic computing 101.

Hmm....I've used every version of Windows since Win95 up to Vista and I've never seen it on my desktop, nor have I ever used it.

Must not be very useful.

Read the above link. Look at the included image examples of Windows Explorer. It is basically the file manager, as corkyg said, of the Windows operating system.

Prior to Windows 7 (where you can pin this on your taskbar), I used to actively look for it on every new install of Windows and put a shortcut of it in the quick launch bar.

To find out what windows explorer is, ctrl+alt+del > task manager > processes > highlight explorer.exe > end process.

The thing that is missing is the windows explorer. Now, to get it back, go to task manager > applications > new task > explorer.exe

If you have a start menu or have ever opened up a folder in "My Computer", right clicked a file, put files on your desktop or My Documents, etc, you have used Windows Explorer. It's been the Windows shell since Windows 95.
