For various reason, you may find you need to delete a task from Folding@Home. These instructions are based on Windows 10 64-bit. The basics should translate to other operating systems as well.

Picture(s) will follow.

1.) Ensure you can see hidden folders.
2.) Use the Advanced Control panel, by right clicking on the F@H icon near the clock and choosing advanced control.

3.) Which task needs to be eliminated? 00? 01? Pause the task to be deleted. Or just pause Folding altogether.

4a.) Open this location: C:\ProgramData[hidden]\FAHClient\work
4b.) I have also seen it located here, not sure why it's different: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData[hidden]\Roaming\FAHClient\work.

5.) Delete the offending task's folder.

6.) Resume Folding and the old task gets reported and a new task starts to download. Done. :)

I do not see how to determine the task's ID number from the web view: This pic is from the Advance Control panel. Circled are the task ID numbers. If I wanted to delete the highlighted task, I'd go to C:\ProgramData[hidden]\FAHClient\work\ and delete folder 02 in this example.
