How To Delete Email Account in Samsung Vibrant?

Trying to delete a Comcast email account from a Samsung Vibrant and I can't figure it out. Can anyone explain how? Thank you.

menu, settings, accounts and sync, click on the account and hit remove

Unless you set it up without going through accounts and sync??

This is my wife's phone. I never use it and so I'm not familiar with it.
When I tried to follow your instructions the Comcast email account doesn't appear. :confused: I see two Gmail accounts, but not the Comcast.

Just do a factory reset....:thumbsup:


1. From the main home screen, tap menu
2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
3. Tap Factory data reset
4. Tap Reset phone
5. Enter your password, then tap Yes to confirm

Maybe it got set up in the email section? If so try clicking on the email icon and going through the settings of that.

This is my wife's phone, and I'm not sure how she set up her Comcast email. I just know that trying to delete it has been surprisingly difficult.
As for a factory reset, I imagine it's going to wipe out all her settings, contacts, etc?
I don't want to deal with that if I can avoid it.

OK...open the email app and go to the account list. long press on the comcast account name for the option to delete....if it does not show up there it is not on the phone.

When I open the email app it immediately goes into the inbox. From there I can go to Outbox, Sent, and Drafts. That's it.

apparently my email app is broke so I can't walk through that part myself

To update: tried everything but no luck. Finally called T Mobile support and they tried everything, as well. For an hour or so we fiddled and tweaked. Ultimately, we ended up doing a hard reset, updated the OS to 2.2, and all is well again.
