How to decipher values on SMT resistors?

SMT components rarely have the value enscribed on them. The best you can hope for, and this may even be reaching, is to have some sort of manufacturer part number on them, then go to their website, and hopefully find the specs.

Usually they do. I can't recall, but I can see if I can't figure out something tomorrow when I'm at work, where we have bins of SMT resistors and caps.
