How To Create Limited User Accounts In The Windows 10 System

Windows 10 provides users with an option to create limited user accounts. These accounts will not have the complete rights of the system. Limited user accounts are non-administrative accounts. The local accounts can be used by people to perform the activities with some constraints. This will be required when you want to restrict the administrative features for a user. Here is how you create limited user accounts in the windows 10 system.

Step 1
Select 'Windows’ Icon

The first step is to click the ‘Windows’ start icon that is located at the left corner of the taskbar.

Step 2
Select ‘Settings’

On clicking the windows start icon, you will find a list of options available as shown below. Here scroll to find and select the ‘Settings’ option.

Step 3
Select ‘Accounts’

In the 'Settings' option, the user has to select the ‘Accounts’ option to customize, add, delete the settings related to the accounts in the windows 10 system.

Step 4
Select ‘Family & Other Users’

In the account’s settings, select the ‘Family & Other Users’ option present in the left pane as shown below.

Select ‘Add someone else to this PC’ Option

Now on the right side, the user has to scroll down to the other user's section. Here you have to click the plus icon for ‘Add someone else to this PC‘ option.

Step 6
Click ‘Person I want to add doesn’t have an email address’

As shown below, in the below dialog box you can enter the email address of the person to be added. If you don't have an email id, click ‘Person I want to add doesn't have an email address’ option. Click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 7
Click ‘Add a user without a Microsoft Account’

In the next dialog box, you can create a windows account. If you don't wish to create one, click the ‘Add a user without a Microsoft account’ option and click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 8
Enter the 'User Account Details'

Enter the name of the limited user account, password and password hint. This would be a non-administrative account. Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 9
Local User Account is Added’

Once the details are entered, you will find the newly added limited non-administrative user account is added in the other users' option as shown below.

You can now easily create the limited user accounts in the window 10 system by following the steps.
