how to create folder shortcuts in a FTP site

okay. when someone logs into my ftp, it sends them to my D drive, however, I also have space and stuff in my C drive and I need to direct them to this. I tried creating a simple shortcut folder in the D drive but it doesnt come up (not that easy as it seems I guess), it only shows up as a .lnk file. Anyone know how this is to be done thanks in advanced

i have bullet proof, someone told me to add a txt file, i dont know. please help, i'm leave work in about 2 hours so if i can get something, some idea before i split, it would be appreciated
