While the Control Panel tab in Windows 10 is no longer easily accessible, it can be found in multiple ways. But what’s better than searching for it every time is to just have a shortcut to the app ready on your desktop. Lots of people prefer the old control panel user interface rather than the new ‘settings app’. So here are steps to create a shortcut for Control Panel in Windows 10.
Step 1
Open the 'Shortcut Creator' App
First, you have to right-click on your Windows 10 desktop screen. Make sure to right click where no file or folder is present and the right-click menu will open. Now over to the ‘New’ option and in the drop down bar choose the ‘Shortcut’ option.

Step 2
Set the 'Shortcut Path'
With the shortcut creator app now open you will see space to type in the app path. Type the following directory '%windir%\system32\control.exe'. Once you are done click on the ‘Browse’ button.

Step 3
Name the shortcut
You will now be provided with a dialog box where you can type the name of the shortcut you are creating. Name it ‘Control panel’ by typing into the box and click on the ‘Finish’ button.

This should have successfully created a shortcut to the control panel app which will now be visible on your Windows desktop. This is easy to reach the control panel app using which you can tweak the various settings of your PC.
