The new feature which allows us to list our rig's is great. My question is how do all of you add the "My rig" link to the signature. When I added mine you can see what happened. Thanks in advance.

Check the bottom, gives you a pop up of a list of html codes.

myurl

hehehe whoops.. it looks like this:

[L=myurl]http://www.me.com[/ L]

just remove the space between the backslash and the L...

(what the hell??? some kind of bug or something? I just kept editing the message because it would post what I wrote TWICE, even though I don't see it showing up twice here as I'm writing this... ok that's it, I give up...)

---disregard anything underneath here, repost of what I wrote up top---

Both of your links work when I click on them. Mine requires that you cut and paste in the address bar. Help

Sandan,

I'm going to give you a step-by-step lesson as to how to create the link. Okay, let's get started:

In your signature, type the following:

<< myurl >>

, where myurl refers to the name as you'd like it to appear in your signature (i.e. My System Rig), and http://www.myurl.com refers to the actual address of the system rig (i.e. http://www.anandtech...).

Hope this helps.

Sorry, didn't post correctly. I meant:

I'm going to give you a step-by-step lesson as to how to create the link. Okay, let's get started:

In your signature, type the following: [L=myurl]http://www.myurl.com[/ L] (without the space between the final / and L, as dcdomain pointed out).
myurl refers to the name as you'd like it to appear in your signature (i.e. My System Rig), and http://www.myurl.com refers to the actual address of the system rig (i.e. http://www.anandtech...).

Hope this helps.

I also couldn't figure it out because I have NO previous experience with HTML. Someone explained it to me so that I could understand it, I'll try to do the same for you. Follw the link in the original post to create your rig profile. I assume you have alredy done that. Once you have completed that, go and view your rig. At the top of the page copy the link (i.e. the URL in your browser's address box). Now go to your personal profile page (an option at the top of all of the forum's pages. Next paste your URL that you copied earlier into the signature block. It should look like this

http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?id=668

Next Edit it to look like This:

(L=My Rig)http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?id=668(/L)

You will need to replace the ( ) in each above example instance with the appropriate [ ]symbol
This is neccessary because if I typed it properly with the [ ] brackets it would show up as a hyperlink in my post and not as text.

You can change the MY rig above to be whatever you would like the hyperlink to say in your signature.

Then Just hit the update signature button.......viola!

Thanks for the help guys, I finally got it. I combined the information from Tony T & fearn to resolve the puzzle. I consider myself an intelligent person but this was very tough for me. Anyway all is well.
