Hi there

I have been doing alot in mp3 files. But now for the first time I have to copy some music files from a normal music CD to the HD. I whant to keep them in wave files though. The only files I see is files which only are 44 bytes. I have tryied to use drag and drop, but it only moves the 44 bytes not the entire file.

Your help is greatly needed.

Cheers,

You need a CD ripper...the CDAudio format isn't a file format that's understood by a windows file system.

My favourite is audiograbber. It will rip to WAVs, and if you want MP3s you can use the LAME encoder plugin that's a download on their site.

If you have any program that will converter CDs to MP3s you can probably use it, most of them will let you go to WAV rather than just MP3.

the 'files' you see when looking is just placeholders for the cdda audio tracks, it must be converted from the form its in to .wav. lots of popular programs can do this for you, if your looking for freeware, its available (download.com), but i recomend using audiograbber (http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/) at a mere $25, its worth it!
