how to COPY/PASTE in LINUX Terminals???

when I click edit on the linux terminal (red hat 6.2), it has only an option for paste. No option to copy. So how do I copy/paste in linux terminals?

You just highlight the text you want to copy. Then, when you go to paste, if you have a 2 button mouse, you usually will press both buttons at once to paste. If you have a 3 button mouse, it is usually mapped to the middle button for paste. It all depends on how you have your mouse set up.
