Seriously, someone is actually paying for something so basic? How? Why??

I've never understood why people have such difficulty with this. The solution is to keep things SIMPLE. Put all of your music on one computer and add to your iTunes library. Sync to your iDevices. If you want music from another source (such as your friends computer etc), copy to your computer, add to iTunes library and sync.

Managing your music locally is such a PITA. If it's possible I strongly suggest uploading to a cloud service and going that route. I realize this might not work for huge collections.
