How to convert your GeForce SDR/DDR to a free Quadro!

Yeah I would not risk damaging your card for 6 fps - over clock maybe but not HEAT and METAL and MELTING METAL.

I would rather have the warantee and support of a quadro then to risk messing up an already expensive card.

But I am sure someone will try and take the risk.

Why is he running in 16 color mode? Did he hose his system or what? Or maybe he just dithered it down to 16 after the screen capture?

Also...changing a couple of resistors isn't going to give you a whole new or different GPU now is it? And the memory bottleneck would still be the same wouldn't it?

It looks like all he did was change to Quadro drivers. Or at best fooled the drivers into thinking he has a Quadro, but you cannot change a normal geforce SDR/DDR into a Quadro by changing a couple of resistors.

Two more words, never used it, never used it, don't plan on using it.. dooh.. that's 11 but you get the pic.

Has anyone benched it with those programs your talking about Hardware?

There is a lot of speculation that the Quadro is just a Geforce with different more improved drivers. I think there is evidence that this is true actually.

maybe the mx is just a driver diabled gts with sdr memory who knows?
All is possible with NVIDIA!
This way the can get out many cards without work and go straight to the NV20!

<< Just one(two) words 3d studio max! autocad 2000! >>

1) You get roughly the same performance between the Geforce/Quadro unless you use anti-aliased wireframes(AC2000)(which has been fixed BTW).

2) The Detonator2 drivers seem to have fixed the AA issue.

Unless you want to use Maxtreme drivers for 3dsmax there is no reason to risk damaging your card.

Why are the pics in 16 colors?

Easier to doctor 🙂 Can't tell the small color differences if there is not a shade of that color can you?
