how to convert wav to midi

I have a WAV file that I need to convert to .mid. Does anyone know how ?

It looks like it is not really possible, unless the .wav file is of a single instrument.

There are some programs out there, but apparently they are of limited use.

Get the sheet music and use sequencing software

MIDI files are music programs for a synthesizer (a sequence of note commands), WAV and MP3 are digital sound recordings.

the sound is here. It's a recording off my old phone's ring and I want to get it onto my new phone but it only accepts midis. Despite what typical midis sound like, the polyphonic midis have "echoey" type sounds to them... there's already 2 on the phone as default ringers that sound like that so I don't see why this isn't possible.
