Convert to WAV and burn as audio CD. Nero may do the conversion automatically or you can use WinAMP to go from MP3 to WAV.

Unless the CD player supports computer "only" formats such as WMA, your only option is good old Red Book CDDA. As others stated, you'll have to create a CDDA-compliant audio CD. The MP3 files need to be converted to intermediate WAV files, which most full-featured CD burning apps should be able to do automatically.

you can just do it with nero, when you choose what type of cd you want to create. you select the audio cd mode. nero will convert them or whatever it does, but they'll be read by your cd player

WMP can do that really easy. I always used that when I was creating Audio CDs.

The real problem is you will lose the ability to play 4 to 8 albums on a CDR in MP3 format. I had your problem, and replacing 1 disk with a half a dozen or more did not appeal. I replaced the CD drive in the car with one that reads MP3s. :)

Get a better El Cheapo for the car.
