I have 50 or so small 45min, 120MB divx files that I would like to put on DVD for a friend who doesn't have a computer or SVCD supported DVD player.

I would like to create a menu for him to play these 50 movies.

could anyone tell me what to do? I went to www.vchhelp.com but if anyone could tell me the best tutorial to follow and how to add more than one movie to a DVD, that would be great!

My video properties are...

Video Codec: DivX Decoder Filter
Audio Codec: MatrixMixer

Thanks!

I can't say how to make the menu necessarily, but in terms of simply DVD video, dvdsanta is the app I've used, and it works well. There is a freeware version, and it will take that divx and make it into DVD's vob files :)

50 films, 45 minutes each? Holy ####, no DVD will ever fit that much.

Methinks you must've made a mistake.

for a normal size dvd, you do not want to fit more than 5hours of video in there. Even at 5hours the video quality will given some very noticeable pixel blocks.

Don't forgot that convering takes time, and for 50 small 45minutes clips it's going to take a pretty long time. At real time,, it's going to take atleast 37.5 hours. And depending on you CPU that time can change to double or triple that.

Tell your friend to get a divx/dvd player, it's around $60. it'll save you so much time,, and in the long run it'll save you much much more.

yeah, i agree. the phillips dvp-642 is around $60 usd, and it's supposed to be able to play just about anything you can throw at it, including divx and xvid. if you really want to convert the files, check out www.videohelp.com. there are guides, tutorials, etc.
