Step 1
Search for 'Windows Speech'
In the desktop search bar, enter ‘Windows Speech’ option and click on ‘Windows Speech Recognition’ option. The Control Panel can also be used for choosing the ‘Speech Recognition set up’ page.

Click 'Next'
Click on the ‘Next’ feature from the speech recognition set up page.

Select 'Microphone'
Choose ‘Microphone’ from the window that opens and click on ‘Next’. For effective results, standalone microphone or headset is optimal.

Follow the instructions provided for placement of microphone and click on ‘Next’.

Follow settings for calibration of the microphone and choose ‘Next’.

Choose ‘Enable Document review’ option, which allows your system to review email and documents for understanding your speech pattern.

Choose activation mode from the manual or voice options. The voice option allows you to stop the speech recognition with your voice command. The manual option allows stopping the speech recognition by using control and windows key together. You can deactivate or activate the feature by using these options.

Choose ‘Run Speech Recognition at Startup’ option or you can also activate it manually via the computer’s control panel.
