You should be able to go into BIOS and enable fast writes.

http://www.guru3d.com ..download RivaTuner and match it with the drivers your using, read the FAQ if you need to..go to global / system and search for EnableAGPFW ..set it to 1

i don't know how to get rid of them ,,, i tried disable the sync in direct 3d and downclock the speed of the core and memory of my geforce 2 gts 32 mb by asus v7700...nothing happens ,,

ps: i have tried to change the dirvers using older detenator xp drivers with windows xp pro ,,, and nothing has changed ,,, tell u what ,, i even remember that i saw those spikes in comanche under windows 89 ,,, what's wrong ,, is it the hardware ,, i still didn't overclock anything in th pc ,, all at stock clock ,,, even the memory at cl2.5 ,.. no fast timing or cashing ,,, please help me if u can ,,
any help will be appretiated ,, thanks alot

don't panic :) it's the fast writes you just turned on that causes the trouble in some of the direct3d games...at least on my P3V4X Via chipset. I did a lot of fiddling but nothing fixed *everything* (cough No One Lives Forever cough) except disabling fast writes. here's something to try first though:

err, found out chipset info while writing this, looks like that's an SiS chipset not Via ... just turn the fast writes back off in the BIOS. honestly I don't notice a difference while I would like to keep it enabled...

well.. according to power strip readings ...in adapter info te fast werites is not checked and can't be checked ..just a msg pop up and reads that " although ur display adapter supports fast writes but ur motherboard doesn't , if u beleive that ur motherboard supports this feature ,, check ur bios or gart drivers " this means that fast writes is not enabled even if it's supported by my hardware ,, this means that fast writes isn't the cause of the spikes i see in some d3d games ,,, what else could it be ,,, please ,,, help me
any help will be appretiated ,,, thanks alot for ur co-operation
