I know theres a program called Speedfan, but i'm not sure how that works. Plus it reports the speeds of my second fan at over 14000 rpm. I dont' know how to adjust the speeds either.

BUt my PSU is Truepower II, 550 W Antec. It comes with a wire that supposedly can monitor and adjust speeds, but i do not know how

The PSU fan connector would vary any fans connected to it according to the temp of the air in the PSU - not very useful. Speedfan can't control fans on mobos that don't allow for it. In some cases it would be limited to just turning on or off the mobos limited fan controls based on sensors on the mobo. If you really want to control your fans, get a fan controller - you can get them for under $10. now.

Try the hardware monitor software that came with your mobo - it should be able to take advantage of any fan speed control that your mobo is capable of. Speedfan is not really for those who don't already know. It requires setting up for each different mobo unless you can find one already modded for yours.

You could try a fan controller or volt modding (easy to do, but not recommended). A controller can be had for about $50. I'd head over to www.silentpcreview.com for more input, experts over there on this stuff.
